Choose the route that fits the work.
So is Shtabium.
We build open-source tools for a better internet. Explore our first
project: Codex Desktop Bridge. More products are
on the way!
We also
offer API access to frontier models, with routes
that balance price and reliability. Buying tokens through Shtabium
helps us keep these projects going.
A quota reset should not rule your day. Keep working in Codex and switch to Bridge right inside it when the quota gets in the way. Same models. More routes. Choose lower cost or higher reliability through our Models API Access, or bring your own keys. All through a nice UI that other tools like this should’ve had.
Any model. Any provider. Still Codex.
Not sure? Touch it by yourself!Real Bridge controls. A simulated chat. Try another route, bring a fake key, even send a message.
Click the Shtabium icon beside the model selector. The good stuff is inside.
New ones – the same day as they ship
ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek, and more – one key, one API. We add models as they launch so you don't juggle vendors.
Every model gets a choice of price and reliability routes. Pick what the request needs, then keep building. Thank you for choosing Shtabium! That helps us build even more cool open-source stuff.

Fixin some stuff before you screw it. Coming soon to all platforms. By 31 october 2026.
We're people building things we'd like to see on the internet. Shtabium is still young. Found something awkward? Missing a control? Tell us. Your ideas help shape what comes next.
Shtabium mode uses your shared Shtabium credit and the available hosted models and routes. BYOK uses your own provider, endpoint and billing, with keys kept in your OS vault. Both live in the Bridge panel; choosing a mode or route never sends a message for you.
No, your Codex limit stays unchanged. You can still use Bridge after it runs out: choose an external route with its own access, availability and billing. You decide when to switch.
Where the installed Codex build and history support it. Otherwise Bridge offers an explicit fork or a new chat with a prepared summary. Your original conversation is preserved; a fork has its own ID.
No. Bridge adds controls to the official Codex Desktop. Codex still owns your tools, projects, sandbox and approvals. Native inference stays direct, and native OAuth is never forwarded to Shtabium or your BYOK provider.
Different routes come with different costs, capacity, and availability. We price them separately and show you the trade-offs upfront.
Want the cheapest option? Go for it. Prefer a more reliable route? Your call.
That's why we built fallback routing.
If your route becomes unavailable, Bridge can try another compatible channel — including the direct official API rerouting, if you've enabled Auto fallback.
You stay in control of the budget. And if a task has already made changes, we won't blindly run it twice.
Available fallback channels follow your account and hosted route policy. Partial output and executed tools are never replayed.
Bridge with BYOK is completely free to use. You only pay your provider for model requests at their rates. Shtabium access is designed around pay-as-you-go pricing, without another model subscription. See the catalog for available routes and rates. Demo prices and balances are examples.
The Bridge panel is built from the current product components. The surrounding Codex-like chat is a simulation. Messages, keys, connection checks, payments and balances here are mocked; nothing calls a model or charges you.
By October 31, we’ll say “Yes”!
